Let's go chaotic

Two builders. One obsession.

Chaotic Racing & Inflatables started where most good boats do — in a workshop, chasing a faster line across the water.

Our story

From the start line to the surf line.

Founded by Adi and Dieter in Hermanus, Western Cape, Chaotic grew out of a shared background in powerboat racing and hands-on fabrication. What began as building and tuning our own race cats became a business: designing, building and repowering boats for racers and weekend adventurers alike.

We do the work ourselves — foam plugs, hand-laid hulls, rigging, livery and repowers. No shortcuts, no compromises.

The founders

The two behind Chaotic.

Chaotic isn't a faceless brand — it's two people who design, build and race the boats themselves. Here's who you're dealing with.

Co-founder

Adrian Miller

Co-founder · Design & marine engineering

Adrian brings a professional maritime background and an MCA Master 3000GT certificate to the workshop, alongside years of marine engineering experience. He leads design and build at Chaotic — turning a lifetime on and around the water into hulls that are fast, predictable and properly engineered, whether they're headed for a race course or a working coastline.

Co-founder

Dieter Blignaut

Co-founder · Fabrication & power

A master marine mechanic and competitive powerboat racer, Dieter heads up fabrication, rigging and repower work. He's the one who knows what an engine can take because he's raced it himself — making sure every boat that leaves the workshop is built tough, set up right and ready to run hard.

The team

The hands that build them.

A boat is only as good as the people who build it. Behind every Chaotic hull is a team that takes real pride in the craft.

Henry

Upholstery & signage

Nicole

Upholsterer & sign writer

Nicole handles upholstery and signage — the finishing touches that make a Chaotic boat look as good as it runs. From hard-wearing seating to the bold livery and lettering that gives every build its identity, her work is what people see first. [Add Nicole's full name, background and a personal line here.]

What drives us

The Chaotic code.

Race proven

Every design earns its place on the water before it earns a place in the catalogue.

Built by hand

Fabrication is craft. We build the boats we'd want to race ourselves.

No compromises

Speed, safety and reliability aren't a trade-off — they're the whole point.
